Health Indicators

The health indicators are key health characteristics of the EAC Partner States. They are from different national administrative levels and have been continuously compiled and analyzed by the Partner States. The indicators provide insights into the Partner States health status, health system characteristics and service performance.

They help in monitoring and evaluating key performance dimensions (health status, health system, service performance and risk factors) and thus inform health policies, guide decision making, support the delivery of an effective health service and raise general public awareness on health issues.

The list is written in clear and easy to comprehend language in order to bring about the awareness of the general public to common health issues.
