Biography

Dr Judy Mwai is a Kenyan Public Health Research Scientist currently working with the Kenya Medical Research Institute in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a PhD in Public Health from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Masters of Science in Public Health from the same institution. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Sociology from the University of Nairobi. Dr Mwai is a member of the Young East African Research Scientists (YEARS) an initiative of East Africa Health Research Commission that seeks to mentor and nurture young Scientists. She is a seasoned researcher with over 10 years of experience in Public Health Research and has worked for private and public organizations and consulted for leading Public Health research programmes.

Dr Mwai has authored and co-authored several publications on Public Health and presented various findings to several Conferences locally and internationally. At the Kenya Medical Research Institute, Dr Mwai served as a secretary to various Scientific Committees. She is currently based at the Research Management Department where she is responsible for managing Pre-awards and Monitoring and Evaluation of the Kenya Government-funded projects.
