Busitema University is a Public University established in 2007.
The University offers academic programs in Health Sciences, Engineering, Science Education, Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Management Sciences and, Vocational Education.
The main campus is located at Busitema and other campuses at Nagongera, Namasagali, Arapai, Mbale, Pallisa and Kaliro. The Faculty of Health Sciences is located in Mbale Municipality within Mbale Regional Referral and Teaching Hospital.
