THPS in collaboration with Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC)– National AIDS Control Program, CDC, USAID, United States Department of Defense (DoD), and Population Council are conducting an evaluation that explores the use of community health agents to provide ART outside health facility settings.

The study is taking place in Mbeya Songwe, Kagera and Pwani regions. This four years’ study will be concluded in 2018 and we expect the findings to inform the Government of new HIV service delivery models i.e. improve understanding of how community based health service (CBHS) providers can contribute to the HIV continuum of care and provide an evidence base to inform the development of government of Tanzania policies and programmatic guidelines surrounding use of CBHS provider’s.
