The Center’s Aging and Development research unit has for the last three years focused on clarifying links between issues affecting older populations and core development objectives in Africa.
It has offered direction and support to national and regional research and policy agendas on aging, and introduced African perspectives into global conversations on aging.
Three programmatic areas are united under an overarching goal to clarify the needs, economic rationales, conceptual frames and options for action on the rights and wellbeing of older populations.
