THPS is working with MoHCDGEC and Harvard School of Public health conducted Basic Accountability to Stop III-Treatment (BASI!) study in Pwani region on improving patient experiences by leveraging community voices to hold health systems accountable. The study goal is to evaluate the effect of private and public patient feedback on patient experience, care-seeking behaviour, child health outcomes, and healthcare provider job satisfaction. The study aimed to address three causes of poor patient experience: normalization of poor quality, low attention to poor quality, and lack of accountability to the community. The study involved 75 public health facilities from Bagamoyo, Kibaha DC, Kisarawe and Mkuranga districts. Health facilities are randomized into either the control arm or one of two intervention arms: private feedback or public feedback with non-financial reward
