FHI 360 conducts epidemiologic studies using a variety of research designs, such as cohort, case-control, case-cohort and partially randomized patient-preference designs. Recent epidemiologic studies conducted by FHI 360 include investigations of:

  1. The effects of switching to long-term contraception on pregnancy rates
  2. Hormonal contraception and the risk of HIV acquisition and disease progression
  3. HIV antibody response for the development of HIV incidence assays and algorithms
  4. HIV incidence to identify potential sites for future HIV prevention trials.
