Factors influencing implementation of public health standards in selected city council markets in Nairobi, Kenya .

Major findings. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. Majority of the food vendors (66%) were aware of the requirements of the public health act. A significant number of vendors (63%) underwent a medical check up in line with section 135 of the public health act.
