Front runners for use of research evidence to improve health policymaking: Kenya evidence champions meet up.

The SECURE Health programme team held a meeting with various health experts and policymakers on September 18, 2014 who are partnering with AFIDEP as champions to promote the use of research evidence in health policymaking in Kenya. The evidence champions are leaders in influential positions in government, academia and the civil society who will help strengthen leadership and institutional support mechanisms for increased use of research evidence in decision-making.It is envisioned that they will use their expertise and professional connections to influence this change.
