With funding from GE Foundation and ELMA Philanthropies, this project seeks to reduce surgical morbidity and improve outcomes related to surgery including cesarean section, and contribute to the global initiatives on safe surgery and maternal health.
In Tanzania, the project targets the regions of Mara and Kagera. As part of this project, Harvard University is also providing financial support to Jhpiego to conduct data collection for baseline and midline assessments.
